Ellen Velázquez Muralles

Board member since

Ellen Velázquez Muralles born and raised in the Bay Area to a Guatemalan mother and Mexican father. Ellen began attending Los Cien events as a Santa Rosa Junior College student in 2016 before transferring to Humboldt State (now Cal Poly Humboldt) in 2018.

Throughout her college career, Los Cien always had a special place in her heart as it was a safe space full of people that looked like her and her loved ones that held different positions throughout the community and always served as a motivation.

In 2021 she joined the Los Cien Program Committee and co-chaired the January program, An Honest Conversation about Anti-Blackness, before starting as a full-time staff member as the new Events & Community Engagement Coordinator.

In her free time Ellen enjoys getting lost in a book and being outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family as she is the eldest of four girls with the largest age gap being 23 years.
