With nearly a decade of experience in government affairs and constituent services, AnnaMaria Tamayo Madarieta brings a career built on solving problems for the people who need it most.

A proud Chicana and third-generation Sonoma County native, AnnaMaria carries forward a family legacy of service. In 1977, her grandparents opened La Tortilla Factory as Santa Rosa’s first “Mexicattessen,” building a business rooted in community and connection that continues to shape the way she approaches her own work today.

She has served in government affairs at the federal and state levels, including a legislative internship in a U.S. Senator’s Washington, D.C. office and several years as Senior Field Representative for the California State Assembly, along with experience in political campaign management.

In 2026, AnnaMaria joined CVNL as a Volunteer Services Program Assistant, serving Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties, while pursuing her law degree part time.

AnnaMaria is also deeply committed to community and civic leadership as Board Director and Program Committee Chair for Los Cien, Sonoma County’s Latino civic leadership network.
